Cloud infra you can pull apart. Built with GPT-6 Astra in Codex: three static illustration (even illustrations are created by Astra with my prompts) turned into interactive motion. The workflow took several interactions: preserve the artwork, separate the internal layers vertically, then add drag to explode controls.

Day 6 building the Figma for hardware.
Another study today: transparent shells for transparent tech and windows, and how much the material changes what you can see inside a device.
I’m exploring shell thickness, refraction, tint, frosted glass, optical layers and different window shapes, from small openings to convex lenses.
The goal is to make transparency parametric too, so you can decide what the hardware reveals and how the material changes the way you see its internal components.
Basically: the inside of a device can become part of its design.
I’ve been seeing one “big tech designer” 所谓的硅谷大厂设计师出来误人子弟 talk about taste through UI and visual polish lately. I just don’t want that to leave people with the impression that good taste = good UI.
That’s a very narrow definition of taste.
Taste isn’t just about making things look good. It’s the judgment to know what’s worth making, what should stay, what should go, and what feels just right.
UI is one expression of taste. So are structure, interaction, simplicity, and trade-offs.
Taste isn’t just about BEAUTY. It’s about judgment.
