There are some buildings I'll never tire of photographing, and one of them is the Beresford on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow. This Art Deco masterpiece was designed by Weddell and Inglis, and was constructed in 1937.

Today's education:
Help the students learn how to memorize and regurgitate information under academic pressure.
Real education:
Inspire the desire for learning within them and enable them to think, understand, and question.
It's so important to remember this. Sometimes we don't take action because the task seems too great. But even helping one person with one thing can change the world for them ♥
How should we approach our role as leaders? By emphasising our competence, strength & experience? Or by establishing trust through warmth and understanding? The authors of this classic article say we need to do both but we should start with building trust. Multiple studies in the ten years since this article have backed up the importance of relationships and connections as the foundations for effective leadership. https://t.co/nVBuLcv2T1 Graphic: @tnvora

A cheeky tip to shop healthy in a supermarket 🛒
Stay in the outside aisles. If you shop on the outskirts, you'll find fruit, veggies, dairy, meats, fish - all minimally processed foods.
Raging wealth inequality in a nutshell:
People worth less than $10K — 53% of the world’s adult population — hold 1.2% of the world’s assets.
People worth over $1 million — 1.1% of the world’s adult population — hold 46% of the world’s wealth.
Inequality is a global crisis.
The brilliant Donella Meadows - mother of systems thinking - is a hero to me, so it was an unmissable opportunity to talk about her life and work on @BBCRadio4 Great Lives. You can catch it here. https://t.co/iEN31myek4 #ecologicaleconomics#systemsthinking@bethsawin
Here’s how to feel good through food:
✅ Eat a Savory Breakfast, not a sweet one
✅ Veggies first, then protein and finally carbs
✅ Only have your fruit whole, never juiced or dried
✅ Clothe your carbs - pair your starches with protein, fat or fibre
✅ Go for a ten minute walk after each meal
✅ Never eat dessert on an empty stomach
Remember to do it when it’s easy for you!
The world’s 500 richest people collectively added $852 billion to their fortunes during the first half of 2023.
That's an average of $14 million a day for each.
It's not radical to tax the rich. It's radical to allow this level of extreme wealth concentration to continue.
“The richest 10% of the global population currently takes 52% of global income [...]." Inequality is a corrosive force that has been on the rise since Covid. Proud to have signed this letter.

Feynman learning strategy in three points:
1. Continually ask "Why?"
2. When you learn something, learn it to where you can explain it to a child.
3. Instead of arbitrarily memorizing things, look for the explanation that makes it obvious.
