You don't find growth on the mountaintop, in the spiritual and/or emotional highs. You find it in the valley — the dishes, the deadlines, the hard conversations. Can we pray for you in your "valley?" Let us know your prayer requests! https://t.co/mjEREQfrmm

What God created made him pleased! There are beautiful and amazing things on display AND hidden throughout creation!
(Of course, humanity’s sins have twisted what God made, but we can still see traces of “God-joy” all around!)
In Hawaii, Pukalani Community Church of the Nazarene (Puka Naz) continues to serve fire survivors. On September 22, they were able to give away a 45-foot container worth of crisis care kids, food, coolers, bedding, toiletries, small appliances, water, diapers and baby supplies, and more. A steady stream of cars waited in line at the church for more than six hours to receive these essential supplies.
From Lead Pastor Mark Gudmunson, a reflection from the giveaway:
“Our stock was depleted before the line of people needing help all received help. It broke our hearts to turn people away.
I had the privilege to be traffic control, which gave me opportunity to interact with each person who came on our property. The vast majority of our guests were displaced fire victims and their families. They shared with me their concerns, brokenness, trials, and feelings of hopelessness. Their greatest concerns; that people would forget about their plight and their lack of resources.
I prayed with many of our guests and ensured them that Puka Naz would do all we could to make sure they were not forgotten.
Please continue to pray for us as we minister to our island.”
These distributions are partially funded by those who have given to the Maui Wildfire Response Fund. If you’d like to contribute, visit https://t.co/fv4BURTzFD.
