There is an enormous difference between privacy and secrecy. We all have the right to some individual privacy. Our private lives can still fully function in the light. Secrecy, on the other hand, is where we hide in the dark. It’s where the duplicitous us thrives. Then burgeons.
I strongly dislike conversations about Christian calling because they rarely address privilege.
My abuela loved Jesus & like everyone else, sought to live a meaningful life—however, she didn’t have the luxury to discern a “calling.”
For many, their calling is simply to survive.
