I've noticed WAY more bots &spam accounts in threads which sucks. I've had a go with Threads and it's really dead, I don't get it, so I'm back here for a quick look around.
It was full of dickheads when I left a while back and so I hope they don't come looking for a scrap here
This #NEDGER game is... Something. Pretty even match up which is resulting in not much happening either side. A lot of give away and take away!

@MaggieMrphy I have, but it only works half the time. I have no idea what it was about the times it did work, to give me any answers about how to do it again! Currently trying to get it to cast now with zero luck.
@deliciouslybad Mine is Scotch whiskey. I ASKED for bourbon but the teenage boy I sent to get my booze (his patchy beard meant he wouldn't get ID'ed) didn't know the difference and now scotch is ruined for me after I drank most of it and fell asleep on some rocks...
@JaneyHurley We aren't taking anything! I feel like getting sick once was normal, then we got covid and that was to be expected but now the third time I'm like wtf c'mon!! Maybe I should look into vit D
I'm sick AGAIN and I can totally see how the plague wiped out half of Europe cos honestly, this dense population shit is doing me no favours. I rarely got sick before. 3rd time in like 5 months. Over it.
So today marks 4 weeks since I started my new job outside of teaching.
I just wanted to share some thoughts on how I am feeling about life post teaching.
This post is mostly targeted for those who are considering leaving teaching.
@bill_summer@jacobjamesgeog It's a starting point though. Teachers are unhappy in their job but love parts of it and are scared to leave because they'll miss the parts they love. Knowing that it can start out well is important. Other people (me) can also confirm that a year later it's still good.
@Life_of_Pia I've heard that before, but I want it to be wrong haha. This is my first time sick post covid so fingers crossed it doesn't happen too many more times!
@xvilo@ABNAMRO Eh, we're getting credit cards with someone else and do our international transactions through Wise now. We'll be moving banks at some stage as we'd actually like to be able to spend some of our money.
@ABNAMRO hey team - when are you switching your Maestro cards to MasterCard? It's getting real old real quick, not being able to use my card online outside of the Netherlands...
@Life_of_Pia Yeah, it's now something that I've become aware of. Though I've been in busy areas and not gotten sick more than I've gotten sick! But I've gotten sick more often here than I did at home so 🤷♀️
@JaneyHurley Life is good here though - we both like our jobs, how much we can travel, the pets are happy etc it's good! Some things to get used to still but the good/adventure outweighs the bad!
