⚙️ root 1.0.3 Full Version will come equipped with one of the only openly available softwares that can bypass Cloudflare for scraping data.

This custom built tools ships with every root distributable. It allows you to make flows for yourself or for agents (through MCP) to scrape live data from sites otherwise inaccessible.

From a single pane, you select the area being scraped, after which it will be automatically formatted to match a readable text encoded format.

The pane is then connected to a HTTPS URL, where a REST API lays and receives data. It can be further used to implement data webhooks.

All of this happening from a local instance, powered by @ollama and built by $PALM.

Model Optimization Update - 1.0.3 🛠

A peak into the upcoming 1.0.3 update and its new core feature: categorizing models into performance tiers and assigning them a specialized harness setup based on that.

In concrete terms, it means that a certain capability model will be utilized only up to its capabilities. There is no point completing a long open-ended task with a Category D model, but the Category D model could likely do 90% of the things a Category A model can in certain tasks.

This dramatically increases speed even more than before and makes using different models in a "Swarm" model way more efficient.

The stop-button graphical glitches are patched and the agent mode indicator now blends in.

Expect a few open-source releases from us on GitHub today since we plan to ship a customized version of the LLM Wiki with our vault system. In addition a safe-guarded opsec-package will be released. It is important for these tools to be open-sourced as they invoke a lot of user trust.

Quality of Life updates and new features are in the pipeline to be completed today.

Notably, the Ask / Plan / Agent (execute) mode switches are now automated (see from the video). You can also see the new LLM wiki in use if you watch closely.

A new feature which will be expanded on is "Vaults" within the Account tab.

This refers to safe storing of credentials used in applications, penetration testing or API switching or alike activities which should not be exposed to the LLM per se, but can be used for authorization stops. Think of it as an .env file within root that does not get shared.

This feature is in turn tied to the penetration testing features shipping with the OpSec plugin, which deserves its own post - more about that soon.

Read below why this is important 👇

First: we want to kickstart users who know nothing about AI or harness tools to use frontier-level technology privately and to be able to do anything with it. To do this is a huge task, so we need an unsurpassed product.

During our Beta, we realized that there is only one way @rootsh could become the AI harness used over everything else - having tools that facilitate actual agentic understanding. These tools are still extremely rare in the market.

Our codebase memory system now runs on a Karpathy-style LLM "wiki" setup, essentially forming its own knowledge base, a light-weight "wiki" with directories for each repository.

What makes this powerful is that it does not replace the existing codebase memory tools, but rather is built on top of them and works with them.

A full guidebook to all of this is included within the root app itself.

1.0.2 also comes with major UI implementations that kill all app-induced local loading times to less than 1ms.

Update: Patch 1.0.1 has been applied 🌙

Fixed 99.9% of the reported issues and bugs.

Main focus was on agent reliability: live price and news questions now trigger a web search instead of stale answers, scraper MCP in chats. Blender vision verify and the 3D Small profile are gone—everything goes through the blender-math GLM path.

Runs should always end with a readable summary, with a "AI council"-style review in situations when the answer would otherwise fail or get stripped. Terminal installs that succeed despite exit code 1 no longer spin into false terminal-error loops.

On the UI side, model switching is simpler w/ the overlay sitting above the model picker. Day tasks toggles turn green in dark mode and the home clock kicks in after ten seconds of idle as a screensaver. The Git tab shows themed empty states when commit history is blank.
