Step 1. Trade for Maxx Crosby days before legal tampering begins.
Step 2. Bargain with Hendrickson through back door channels
Step 3. Have Hendrickson's team say he is just waiting it out and taking his time to decide
Step 4. The rest of the league spends a ton of money on players and the teams in on Hendrickson wait and lose out on FAs
Step 5. Hendrickson is all of a sudden ready to announce his decision on Wednesday
Step 6. Ravens announce backing out of the Crosby deal just minutes after Hendrickson reports he is set to decide on Wednesday
Step 7. Ravens sign Hendrickson to a deal less than his reported asking price
Step 8. Complete screw job of the teams that were attempting to sign Hendrickson and high five your overpaid medical staff

Voiding a deal with Maxx Crosby to turn around and sign Trey Hendrickson doesn't seem shady at all.

Yet, nothing will happen to the Ravens. And the Bears still don't have comp picks they deserve.
