After over a decade, I don't actually care to understand the mental gymnastics required to compartmentalise “I support BTS” from “I don't support one or two of the seven people who ARE BTS.”
These aren't interchangeable components in some fucking IKEA bookshelf where you remove one piece and pretend the structure is unchanged. These seven individuals have poured insane amounts of themselves into this group, survived over a decade of bullshit together, grown together, and built a fucking family unit. There is no replacement member waiting in the wings. Remove one of them and there isn't a neat little gap to fill. There's a fucking gaping void.
And that's what makes the “I support BTS, just not all seven” position so fucking bizarre to me. You're treating a couple of the people who built this thing as an optional accessory while claiming to support the whole.
You don't substitute members of a family. You don't get to remove one person from the family portrait and then insist you're still celebrating the family exactly as it is.
At this point, I don't need to understand the choice. I'm perfectly comfortable pointing out just how fucking idiotic the logic is.
So ms lea Solange unfollowed namjoon and jhope for allegedly going to the CB concert but still follows Jude Bellingham who also has been to a CB concert????? She also has a photo with perez hilton……………these performative bitches need to stay away from BTS. The hypocrisy is beyond comprehension. It was never about CB concert and was always about having a reason to hate on BTS.
Everyone knows that I’m a Michael Jackson fan on X here who barely posts about K-pop, yet somehow some BTS h@ters said I’m “HYBE’s paid plankton” just because I pointed out an obvious double standard by people who turned themselves into emergency moral police online?
Nobody’s cleaning up anything for free or for pay. I said what I said because selective outrage is embarrassing. If calling out hypocrisy makes me a company plant in your head, that says more about you than me.
The duality of Ms Lea Salonga
She follows and frequently work with H.E.R, who met smiled hugged and collaborated with Chris Brown inviting him on feat. in 2021.
She follows John Bellingham, who also been to Chris Brown concert in 2023.
She follows Sienna Lalau, who frequently dances to and promotes Chris Brown songs on her platforms - including the Instagram she follows.
She follows Bruno Mars, who promoted this Chris Brown tour on that instagram.
She follows Ariana, repeatedly met and smiled with Chris Brown.
She follows the Grammys, who rewarded Chris Brown with 26 nominations and 2 wins past his abuse cases.
She met and smiled with Perez Hilton, most famous for being a notorious harasser.
She follows and platform even more people who shared Chris Brown music on their social media, including the instagram accounts she follows.
Army women who decide how they feel about this are "protecting impunity", she doing the same thing is innocent.
This is making her uncomfortable, her own behavior doesn't make her uncomfortable.
BTS owes her accountability, she doesn't owe any accountability.
She demands from BTS the standards she herself doesn't live up to.
She is punishing namseok for 1 mistake that she herself does repeatedly, so carelessly that she still didn't realize or reflect on herself even after feeling so mad about it for several days now.
this woman is a performative final boss. i genuinely hate everyone who acts purely for engagement. if armys hadn't set the agenda, this woman and other people wouldn't defend the moral values like this. her takes or unfollows are not genuine.
Lea Salonga suddenly found her “moral high ground” and started demanding “accountability” from BTS the second ARMYs pointed out the double standards. Before that? Silence. After that? Unfollows and a whole reel acting like she’s been fighting for justice this whole time.
Meanwhile she’s out here engaging with Bruno Mars content and sitting pretty while the Grammys (where she’s on the committee) keep platforming and nominating artists with actual long, documented issues Chris Brown included. But RM and Jin existing is where she draws the line?
If your principles only activate when it’s the biggest group in the world and their fans, it’s not principles. It’s optics.
BTS doesn’t owe performative activists a damn thing. Stay consistent or stay quiet.
Ms. Lea Salonga,
The double standard here is glaring and hard to defend. You’re publicly demanding “accountability” from BTS because RM and j-hope attended a Chris Brown concert—posting “Disappointed. So disappointed” and unfollowing them yet the Recording Academy circles you’re connected to continue nominating Chris Brown year after year, despite his well-documented history that everyone already knows. Those shows were selling out long before any BTS member set foot there.
If this were truly about consistent principles rather than selective optics, the sudden outrage and unfollows wouldn’t have aligned so perfectly with ARMY calling it out first. Consistency and integrity matter far more than performative Instagram stories.
@bornin19xx You’re calling out rm then call her out too. But you won’t because you’re just hating. Kpoppie. You’re out here liking and hyping up bts hate tweets. Wag kang magmalinis.
@UlianaZhu but here is she is posing with Perez Hilton, a known problematic, misogynistic, body shamer. Wow, speaking of having principles and dignity. Disappointed, so disappointed.
Raffy Tulfo: Istupido ka pa din, in the name of blind loyalty, would you agree?
Acosta: Dili ko maintindihan your honor, I'm sorry.
Me: EXACTLYYYYYYYYYY
so she wasn't uncomfortable taking a picture with p3rez h1lton...known for harassing minors and children, a woman hater, posted extremely defamatory stuff about many people and outed various people too...but shes uncomfortable over namseok attending a concert???
I don’t think y’all understand this lady was out here doing interviews etc saying she’s army
People were publishing her among notable armys
She can pose with perez Hilton but draws the line for namseok attending a concert?
Wow
