The devil will send distractions dressed like something you prayed for. That’s why everything that looks good isn’t always God. Some people will enter your life looking like an answer, sounding like peace, and feeling familiar enough for you to lower your guard. But the devil knows what gets your attention too. You may think somebody suddenly changing, getting caught in a lie, showing their true intentions, or making you uncomfortable is random. But sometimes that discomfort is exactly what keeps you from walking deeper into something the devil meant to use against you. The devil wants confusion. He wants you emotionally attached to what keeps draining you. He wants you questioning your discernment, ignoring red flags, making excuses, and calling chaos “love” just because you don’t want to let go. But God will keep turning the light on. And when He does, you don’t always need to confront everything. You don’t have to chase every lie, prove every betrayal, or fight everybody who moved funny.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is see it, accept what was revealed, and remove yourself. Because once your discernment gets stronger, the devil can’t keep using the same disguise. Pay attention to what keeps disturbing your peace. Pay attention to what keeps pulling you away from God. Pay attention when something looks good on the outside but leaves your spirit unsettled. The devil is sneaky, but God is never confused. And when God reveals what’s hiding… believe Him!

You don’t have to pretend you’re strong when you’re hurting. Tell Him when you’re tired, disappointed, or when life feels too heavy to carry. God can handle the truth of your heart. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is admit, “Lord, I’m tired. I need You.” Just as He met Elijah in his lowest moment, trust that God can meet you there, restore your strength, and help you keep going.
