Upon receiving reports regarding alleged illegal collection of money and irregularities in the Hajo Forest Range, we directed for immediate action.

Accordingly, Range Forest Officer Pranjal Barman has been transferred and Forester Imtiaz Ahmed has been placed under suspension.

No individual is above the law. Any official found misusing his position, facilitating illegal activities, or indulging in corrupt practices will face strict action, irrespective of rank or position.

Under the leadership of Hon'ble CM Himanta Biswa Sarma our commitment remains unwavering towards transparent governance, accountability and the protection of Assam's forests and natural resources.

Attended a cultural programme featuring a captivating performance by the Shillong Chamber Choir, followed by an official dinner hosted by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Conrad Sangma, in the gracious presence of Hon’ble Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman ji.

The evening also brought together Chief Ministers from across the North-East and other distinguished dignitaries, reflecting the region’s spirit of cooperation and development.

Officials from Agence Française de Développement (AFD), along with the PCCF & HoFF, Assam, Project Director, APFBC Phase II & Activity Director, paid a courtesy call on me today.

During the meeting, they briefed me on the successful completion of Phase II of the Assam Project on Forest & Biodiversity Conservation (APFBC). I am pleased to note that AFD appreciated the achievements of the Assam Forest Department under the project and expressed keen interest in extending its support through a proposed Phase III to further strengthen biodiversity conservation, sustainable forest management, and community participation through skill enhancement initiatives across Assam.

When the Bill for Assam’s first ever IIM was tabled, @INCIndia & INDI bloc tried to block it with chaos. Congress once again proved they can’t tolerate Assam’s rise.

This is not opposition, this is an anti-Assam mindset.

Even @INCAssam MPs from Assam shamelessly sided with their high command.These Congress MPs have no spine to stand for Assam’s future their only duty is to please the Gandhi family.

Why did they not oppose this anti-Assam conspiracy inside Parliament?
