कर्नल, "मेरी हत्या करने से पहले मुझे पीटा जाय ।"

आतंकी सरगना (कर्नल से) - "तुम भी अपनी जान बख्शने के ��िए गिड़गिड़ाओ । फिर हम अपना फैसला सुनायेंगे ।"

कर्नल - "नहीं । मैं चाहता हूँ कि मेरी हत्या से पहले मुझे पीटा जाय ।"

आतंकी सरगना के इशारे पर एक आतंकी ने भारतीय सेना के कर्नल पर अपनी एके-47 के बट से वार किया । कर्नल ने फुर्ती से एके-47 छुड़ा ली और दनादन सभी आतंकियों को ढेर कर दिया ।

प्रौफेसर और रिपोर्टर ने कर्नल से पूछा,

"तुम्हारे अन्दर इतनी हिम्मत और हौसला था तो तुमने आतंकी से खुद को पिटवाया क्यों ? तुम ये फुर्ती और बहादुरी शुरू में भी दिखा सकते थे ।"

कर्नल - "मैं चाहता था कि लड़ाई की पहल वो करें । क्योंकि अगर मैं पहल करता तो तुम दोनों हरामजादे मुझे ही कटघरे में खड़ा कर देते और अपनी सरकार एवं जनता को सफाई देते-देते , मेरी उम्र गुजर जाती ।"
