Nice to meet you!
Afghan women have to kill the men.
Everyone keeps reacting to this statement as if it’s a joke, but it is literally the only way out of their situation.
Afghan women need to kill as many of the men as possible.
The men in the Taliban.
And the men not in the Taliban who are benefiting from their suffering.
Everyone praises slave rebellions.
Slaves are called upon to overthrow their oppressors.
Why does nobody recognise female slavery when it is staring them in the face?
Afghanistan practices Female Slavery by law.
In Afghanistan, men are the Slave Masters.
The only path to freedom for Afghan women is not international pressure which has proven useless, it is for Afghan women to rebel and kill their slave masters.
@nyxcritter@muzzled_canine In the scenario that OP described, the individual doesn’t want to die because they’re disabled. They want to die because they cannot afford the disability care that they need. And instead of addressing that, the class is addressing assisted dying
@CamoDiver@The_Home_Six “At the expense of general society” and it’s just expecting professionals to not use your personal info outside of professional contexts without your consent
@RaptorsShaq@RealJayWilliams You made a comment specifically about his resume, as if that makes him unqualified to talk. He said in his post that his resume is being attacked rather than the point he made. It doesn’t sound like he took it personally at all, just commented on what happened
@kindanew@Beymonce There’s a big difference in a word/term’s meaning slowly evolving over time as compared to words/terms being misused because they’re the flavour of the month
@kindanew@Beymonce But you DO need to understand what it means. A lot of people don’t which is why so many words/terms get ran into the ground and lose all meaning
So I finished this a few weeks ago and kinda just forgot to update. I love his romantic his use of language is. The ending really took me by surprise, but then after learning his life circumstances at the time he wrote this, it made a lot more sense
@1192GuiltyPlea@BluebriarArts Scenario 1:
You: *without context* they are eating
Me: who?
Scenario 2:
You: *without context* he is eating
Me: who?
Like it really doesn’t make much of a difference at all
This whole “developing a recipe” discourse reminds me of the game developer who mentioned that “pausing a game” is considered an accessibility option because in their technical terms having a child is a “disability” since it prevents the playing of games
@AustinWyckes The person they’re replying to is saying that anyone who reads that fast is not reading anything challenging, and they’re implying that a month SHOULD be the normal amount of time to take while reading a book. It’s obviously not about time available or anything like that
