if you didn’t vote for the democrats in the last election because “both sides were the same”, why are you now on twitter wailing for the democrats to save you from the current administration lol
Being able to kidnap a head of state, and decapitate a regional military power back to back without taking a single american casualty is such a wild spectacle of power i don't think it has any other historic precedent
Guy who is like "I'm a leftist I just want housing and healthcare for everyone UwU" and then proceeds to support brutal dictators who commit genocide and mass murder who don't provide housing or healthcare, or a proper burial, just mass graves.
Productivity doesn’t rise because workers suddenly “work harder.” It rises because capital investment improves tools, processes, and technology.
If you work in a pizza shop and the owner buys a better oven that cooks twice as many pizzas per hour, the oven is what raised productivity. The owner paid for it, maintained it, and took the risk. You’re still being paid for your labor, not for owning the oven.
Wages are tied to the market value of labor, not to total output.
Output is shared among:
• wages
• capital costs
• reinvestment
• risk and losses
If workers automatically received the full gains of productivity increases, no one would invest in capital in the first place. And without capital, productivity collapses.
Marxists look at the result and erase the cause.
They see higher output and pretend it came from labor alone.
It’s entitlement with a graph.
It is absurd that some people believe Russia is fighting Western neo-colonialism, when Russia is literally trafficking men from sub-Saharan Africa to send them to the frontline as cannon fodder.
Stalin, a supremely paranoid man, was positive Hitler would not invade in 1941 because a two front war would be very stupid. But it turns out dictators with fanatical ideologies and narrow inner circles do very stupid things.
Now that Putin openly declares that the Kremlin’s goal is to “liberate Russia’s historical lands,” we can dismiss the NATO-expansion lie promoted by Moscow and its apologists to falsely justify this war, and recognize it for what it is: age-old Russian imperialism.
Never knew “civilized nations” go around ramming other countries’ vessels and harassing innocent fishermen.
If you were a civilized nation, you’d stick to your own EEZ. For reference, this is your EEZ.
So why do you need Filipino waters?
There has never been a clearer cut case for political asylum.
Heng Guan is a Chinese citizen who bravely documented the CCP's mass detention camps for Uyghurs in Xinjiang in 2020, capturing evidence of surveillance, forced labor, and cultural erasure.
He faces imminent danger if returned, including imprisonment, torture, or worse. It's a moral imperative that the US grant him asylum.
We know what fate awaits him if he's returned to China as there are copious examples of what befell those who dared to document reality in "sensitive" places.
Some examples:
> Chen Guangcheng: A self-taught lawyer and activist, he investigated and exposed widespread forced abortions and sterilizations under China's one-child policy in rural areas, particularly in Shandong province. He was imprisoned for over four years on fabricated charges, then placed under illegal house arrest. In 2012, he made a dramatic escape, scaling walls despite being blind, and sought refuge in the US embassy in Beijing before fleeing to the United States.
> Zhang Zhan: A former lawyer turned citizen journalist, she traveled to Wuhan in early 2020 to document the covid19 outbreak, including hospital conditions, lockdowns, and government censorship. She was arrested, sentenced to four years in prison for "picking quarrels and provoking trouble," and subjected to force-feeding during hunger strikes. She was released in 2024 but remains under strict surveillance and in poor health.
> Fang Bin: Another Wuhan citizen journalist, he filmed overflowing hospitals, body bags, and the chaos during the early covid lockdown in 2020, posting videos online to challenge official narratives. He was detained in February 2020, and his whereabouts have been largely unknown since, with reports indicating ongoing secret detention or disappearance.
> Chen Qiushi: A former lawyer and video blogger, he went to Wuhan in January 2020 to report on the ground reality of the pandemic, including interviews with affected residents and footage contradicting state media. He disappeared in February 2020 after being detained by authorities, later reappearing under family surveillance and effectively silenced.
> Li Zehua: A former state TV reporter turned independent journalist, he also documented the Wuhan covid19 situation in 2020, including quarantines and crematorium activity. He was pursued by security agents in a dramatic on-camera chase, detained for months, and released with warnings to stop his activities.
And then just last month you have Hasan Piker posting on his press junket trip to China, claiming that he's "Chinamaxxing."
In a viral post, I replied saying that "Chinamaxxing" was impossible because you can't actually go to "sensitive" areas such as Xinjiang or Tibet, which then drew the propagandists who INSIST that anyone could go anywhere.
This is patently false. Just look at how citizen journalists who use direct evidence-gathering methods (videos, interviews, on-site reporting) are treated. Guan Heng faces persecution because of his undercover filming of detention facilities in Xinjiang.
The US should do the right thing and grant this hero political asylum.
