@EricLDaugh I am so glad that I cancelled my subscription to The Economist. It used to be centrist, but started leaning left then severely veered left in 2016 when Trump won.
This is so cool. The greatest goal scorer of all time, Alex Ovechkin, showed up to a random fan’s beer meet up in Ovi’s honor.

@Nallysmom@dr3w_29@amelia_tweetz The students also bear some of the responsibility. If you are buying something for $100K, you better be sure that you choose a major that is likely to be worth more than $100K.
@Nallysmom@dr3w_29@amelia_tweetz Low interest rates are what allowed schools to raise tuition at multiples of inflation since the 1970's. The schools and the government are both complicit in the crazy amount of borrowing. The schools should be bearing some risk by being one of the parties guaranteeing the loans.
@dr3w_29@Nallysmom@amelia_tweetz There is no risks to the banks because the federal government completely took over student lending over a decade ago. Most big banks got out of the business completely. Some smaller banks still offer private loans.
@BrentHBaker Aren't ratings a big part of their jobs? These networks are not charities willing to spend more on production than they get back in ad revenue. Colbert's production costs were high. Reid had few viewers. They are all off the air for a reason.
@Letsgetawesome5 @DonHenze297892 @JayTC53@TVietor08 I don’t believe taxpayer dollars should go to sports teams either. But, Chicago can’t just confiscate the Bears because they found a city that would subsidize a new stadium.
