It took me a while to digest this and write about truly heartbreaking incident of a child death.

India has the highest number of attacks by stray dogs in the world. India has 36% of all rabies deaths in the world along with highest cases of rabies deaths. Most rabies deaths are unreported.

Animal Birth Control rules, 2001 which asks for stray animals not to be killed but only sterlized needs immediate intervention and change since sterlization has totally failed due to lack of funds. Simple shoot and kill orders should be there. Period.

I have zero symapthy for any dog owners or lovers who can't control their pets. There has to be a provision of applying criminal laws in cases where there is unprovoked attack on people by pets in the presence of their owners resulting in serious injuries/deaths.

Kerala styled vigilantes should be hired to kill all stray dogs in areas where there are multiple instances of child attack and hospitilization.
