I think ppt tends to be used badly and in her case it was her creativity, empathy with her pupils (she grew up in their disadvantaged community) and her love and grasp of maths that made it v different
@JayKloppenberg@JakeCowling But also she took on a challenge to learn ppt and managed to present a usually dry and torturous thing very clear - equivalent fractions. By not talking she allowed learners to โmake senseโ.
Kids enjoyed it and learning is enhanced by being fun.

@JayKloppenberg@JakeCowling I am guessing you arenโt a maths educator? A fundamental part of learning to do and understand maths is through visualisation in various forms. Rotating, translating, shifting, changing, moving. Talk is a rather inefficient means to teach maths. A picture paints a thousand words.
