@yungmacsauce@HellraiserGame While I do want more from this game outside the main story, I don’t know about a multiplayer mode.
That’s part of the reason so many people are excited for this game & there’s already a ton of asym horror games with the new ones being Halloween & Saw Genesis
@iyoushesingh I mean that’s not fair. I love the Backrooms & think it’s a great film & Kane succeeded. However people aren’t less smart because they didn’t like the film. I know a ton of people who understood the film but just didn’t like it anyway.
In other words, not everyone’s cup of tea.
@theashtray122@soupbutreal Finally his brutality works because:
A) Shows you how scary & evil he is as a villain.
B) Makes you empathise with his victims more because you care & want their suffering to end
C) Adds to the movies tone. These movies are purposely horrific, gross, nasty & disturbing
@theashtray122@soupbutreal I believe it’s because what he does isn’t implied & is in disturbing detail is why people are more upset. If his murders were implied or never shown I think people wouldn’t be making as much as a fuss.
@jester_hex64712 Update: You was right about Art making it into Dbd, congratulations. I’m sill concerned on how they’ll implement his version of violence into Dbd but who knows, they might pull it off
@residentbadness “Serial killer kills women brutally”
Although you’re right that his acts towards women are more brutal, how do you know that’s not characterisation. Art is a psychopath & serial killers preferably kill women. He is a villain
@vantubemt@MrMoon198587 The main issue with this take that “cinema sins is only satire” is that why does he also point out a movie’s actual flaws if it’s all a joke?
The satire argument is being used as a shield so cinema sins can’t be criticised
@HMBohemond If I could say one issue with the violence of Lara’s death scenes, it would be that the game can linger on the animations a little too long.
@HMBohemond Outside the weirdos, I never saw an issue with the gore. These death are supposed to be wake up calls for the players & serve as a key to the survivor aspect of Lara Croft in this game’s narrative. It makes her badass when she survives these brutal fates
@SpudTheMechanic@GodzillaExe@tomamoru_art Let me rephrase: This is someone’s reimagining of Hell, not a fictional version. I realised how dumb it sounds & I don’t want to get into that argument
@SpudTheMechanic@GodzillaExe@tomamoru_art Tbf Stolas, Stella, Andrealphus & Octavia are British coded having accents. The UK legal age of consent is 16 & over.
However the age you are classified as an adult is when you have reached your 18th Birthday.
Also this is a fictional version of Hell with its own laws.
@HalloweenTVG Will everything in these editions be able to be purchased post release in case I have not decided if I want to pre-order or wait until release?
@JoebyVictor@snowkhng Agreed. I have the opposite issue with Dial of destiny, although I think the time travel aspect fits in the world of Indiana Jones, the rest of that movie just sucked
@ConnotMeow It’s not that bad. It’s practically on par with the first films iconic kill. The first movie wasn’t really explicitly violent like Friday the 13th & the kills were more tame than the later sequels.
Same goes for The Texas chainsaw massacre game where it wasn’t that gory
