I went back and watched Justin Gaethje's walkout last night, and I don't know if there will ever be a greater one in the history of fighting.
The cinematography. The song. Him looking at the Declaration of Independence. The Oval Office.
Then to go out and pull off one of the greatest upsets ever against an undefeated phenom—as an American at the White House.
When the story of this fight is told years from now, I'm not sure we've ever seen someone rise to the occasion quite like Gaethje did.
"It is literally one rule, which is don't crash into each other" 💥
When we asked Oscar Piastri to explain 'Papaya Rules' earlier in the season 👀
#SingaporeGP
Tom: “We’re reviewing after.”
Oscar: “That’s not fair mate, that’s not fair.”
Tom: “We’ll investigate after [….]”
Oscar: “If he has to avoid another car by crashing into his teammate then that’s a pretty shit job of avoiding.”
Papaya rules:
1. If Lando has a slow stop, Piastri must let him through.
2. If Lando barges Piastri towards the wall, Piastri must not complain.
Got it.
