#BORDER2 — A DHAMAKEDAR Entertainer.

Rating: 3.5⭐️

BORDER 2 opens by firmly establishing its characters and emotional core. The first half focuses on character development, personal backstories, friendship and brotherhood among the soldiers (#VarunDhawan, #DiljitDosanjh and #AhanShetty). The writing here is sincere and engaging, allowing the emotions to grow naturally.

The 2nd half is a mixed bag, largely driven by war sequences. While some action set pieces are well choreographed, a few feel over the top and exhausting, requiring suspension of logic. Thankfully, the Sandese Aate Hain song, the emotional moment leading up to it, and the Mitti Ke Bete climax help redeem it.

#SunnyDeol is the backbone of the film. At 68, he still commands the screen with authority and conviction. His performance is powerful, restrained when needed and explosive in the mass moments. The final stretch proves once again why he remains an icon of patriotic cinema.

Varun, Diljit and Ahan deliver heartfelt performances and get some emotionally rich moments. The emotional scenes involving them are warm and impactful, adding depth to the narrative.

Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh have limited screen time in the first half, but they make their presence amply felt.

Director #AnuragSingh does a fine job. He utilised every actor so well. Used music is beautifully which enhances the emotional beats of the film. The BGM is particularly effective and elevates key moments.

Overall, Border 2 is a dhamakedar entertainer that successfully blends emotion, patriotism and mass appeal. Despite a few flaws in the war sequences, it remains an engaging watch. #Border2Review
