If you find yourself trying too hard for too long, you have to ask yourself if youโre focused on the right thing.

3 business lessons from a local pizza business (@cheeseboardcoll) that crushes it.
1 - Less = better - They only sell one flavor of pizza, which means your choices are a slice, a half, or a whole. Quick ordering = more customers served
2 - Novelty = repeat customers - The flavor changes every day, so customers will come back to see what's new.
3 - Scarcity + Urgency = higher demand - They only sell pizza for 3 hours per day, 5 days per week, and take ALL the holidays off. The only way you know they are open is that they have a line out the door, which leads to...
4 -The night club effect - When you see a line outside a night club, you think the place is hopping. When I see a line outside Cheese board, it makes you wonder what the flavor is today, and encourages you to stop and try it.
5 - Make it special - They do 2 things here.
1 - They hire a jazz band to play most days when they are serving, which entertains you while you're waiting in line, and also makes it feel like an event when you get into the shop.
2 - When you order a half or whole pizza, they hand you the box and put a little mini slice of pizza on top. Since many people order for their friends to eat at home, It's a little bonus just for the person picking it up that makes you feel like it was worth the time and money.
