@au_tom_otive You're absolutely correct. Using a walkie talkie and doing a piece to camera on the public highway at 70mph is definitely questionable and maybe even lamentable.
If only you'd made that point from the start.
@au_tom_otive Damn, you got the dyslexic on the finer points of punctuation. Pedantry corner alert. But, I haven't failed to notice you still haven't admitted you were wrong and your attempt to cover your tracks and pivot hasn't been terribly successful ๐
@G4ilM@modernheroestv RAC equipped vans (which is increasingly all of them) can charge a stranded EV at 4kw which adds 14 miles an hour (on average). The average distance to a charger in rural England is 16 miles and in urban environments it's 1 mile. So being stranded is not really a concern anymore.
@TedWelford I have the top spec 2.0 (is this the only example of the top spec having smaller capacity?) Skyactiv X with the SPCCI tech in soul red; with the styling and interior quality and no touch screen! It's surely one of the best cars on sale. Plus it'll easily do 55mpg on the motorway.
@scoopster6 @andyfholland@harrym_vids Companies go bust all the time, VW is a case in point, they make entirely undesirable EV products, which ruined their unimpeccable reputation for quality. You cannot say for sure that a brand is failing because of EV requirements when plenty are doing just fine, BYD, Tesla etc.
@rageinhisfeet@harrym_vids At the time 16K was within ยฃ500 of what the going rate was for the Performance Line+. Lower spec ones were cheaper. The range in summer is easily 200miles, winter is more like 170.
@andyfholland@harrym_vids Since the end of COVID, car sales have remained within a few percent every year so I don't believe manufacturers are making cars nobody wants. Perhaps they're not making cars you want. You've got to be careful not to conflate personal bias with nationwide opinion.
@MrTimDunn@MayorofLondon@TfL I still find the names a little clunky though I'm sure I'll get used to them but that is one hell of a brilliantly designed promotional roundel. I can imagine that on posters for sure.
@MartinSLewis I preferred Aldi but I stopped because they brought in a policy to check inside everyone of your bags-for-life before you checkout. The presumption of you being a thief, & being made to feel like a criminal every time I visited meant I switched to Lidl and can shop with dignity.
