Russia launched yet another round of ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv overnight on June 15, striking the city’s historic Assumption Cathedral within the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, one of Ukraine’s most significant religious and cultural sites.
The Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a labyrinthine monastery and cave complex that holds some of Ukraine’s most revered shrines and relics, came under direct fire — marking the second strike against the site of Russia’s full-scale war and only the third since World War II.

My grandfather never told war stories (apart from fun ones, like the time he and the guys liberated a crate of scotch from the British officer's club while in England). Once, on a D-Day anniversary, he mentioned hitting the beach in Normandy and having to walk over countless fallen Americans who had landed before him.
Remember.
The rescue operation continues in Dnipro after Russia’s strikes on the city. All services are engaged – medical teams, rescuers. I am grateful to everyone on the ground who is truly helping people. Since last night, Russia has been terrorizing Dnipro with missile and drone attacks. Strikes have hit ordinary residential buildings, energy facilities, civilian sites. During the day, the Russians once again attacked the same residential area they had struck overnight. There have been numerous casualties. As of now, more than 40 people have been reported wounded in Dnipro, including children. Twenty‑three people have been hospitalized. Two more are missing – their search will continue until their fate is determined. Sadly, five people in the city have been killed by these Russian strikes. My condolences to their families and loved ones.
It is important that the world does not remain silent about what is happening and that this Russian war in Europe is not overshadowed by the war in Iran. “Shaheds” kill people all the same, and protection against cruise missiles and ballistic threats must be equally reliable. We count on the timely implementation of each of our political agreements to strengthen air defense. And it is vital that pressure on Russia over this war does not stop for a single day – there must be no pauses in sanctions against Russia for each of these strikes. Life needs protection, and I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine.
Absolutely horrific night in Ukraine last night - 44 ballistic missiles and 659 drones fired from Russia. Deaths in Kyiv, Odessa and Dnipro. Not even bothering to hide the fact that it is residential areas under attack. Barely on the news outside Ukraine. And @JDVance says he is proud that USA has pulled its support so the aggressor can keep aggressing. Disgusting. But Europe has to do even more now
STRAIT of HORMUZ: If the fleet of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers now controlling the strait are the backbone of the operation, the pointy tip of the spear are the A-10 Thunderbolt II attack jets patrolling the Iranian shoreline.

If US is going to take any lesson from Iran war it should be to not retire the A10. USAF is being dishonest about its capabilities. It doesnt need replacing. It just needs a significant upgrade.
NASA’s Artemis II livestream really makes you appreciate @SpaceX’s launch broadcasts.
Bad camera tracking, no onboard cameras, countdown timer disappeared, NASA even showed people in the crowd instead of stage separation lol. The screen also blacked out twice during the first 10 seconds of the launch.
Gave it our absolute all, but our journey will end in the Elite Eight 💜
With a second consecutive undisputed Big 12 championship, back-to-back 30-win seasons and two straight NCAA quarterfinal appearances, TCU is now firmly entrenched among the nation's elite. Thank you to everyone who supported us all season. We'll be back.

That was the russians.
U.S. Air Force parked its E-3s on the taxiways as Iran has no space recon capability and thus could not know / aim for an E-3 on a taxiway.
russia used its space recon satellites to provide Iran with the exact coordinates / time to strike.
In historical terms, the Russians are losing, one hundred percent. Right now, they are suffering a terrifying number of casualties – 30,000 to 35,000 people a month. Russia cannot keep up with mobilization, contract recruitment, and certainly cannot keep up with training its troops.
Will they decide to launch a full-scale mobilization? That I cannot tell. So far, they have been afraid to take such steps and have relied only on offering large sums of money to recruits. Why do we react so sensitively to sanctions being lifted? Because it’s about money. And money isn’t just tanks. Nobody fights with tanks anymore. Money means drones. Money means people. People mean contracts. And if they don’t have the money for contracts, their strength is declining.
From an interview with Le Monde (4/5).
As Mayor, Keller became the largest city in Texas to formally join ICE’s 287(g) program and it’s been a successful partnership between our local police department and federal authorities.
Public safety is strengthened when public safety professionals collaborate at the local, state, and federal level. In the Texas legislature I fully intend on introducing legislation that will require every city with a jail to partner with ICE through its 287(g) program. Public safety is non-negotiable. #txlege
