Consider me a fan of Jay Hern after seeing @egherdbaseball make the trip down this week to San Diego for the Lions tournament.

While the defensive actions behind the plate are still raw and will need some fine-tuning, the competitive edge and natural ability surely take over and allow Hernandez to make a serious impact that contributes to winning. Not to mention, he competes in the box and has an elite eye for the strike zone. Multiple deep counts in his 1-for-2 day w/ a BB and 2 RBIs. 📈📈
