@iyannayaya1@RealityTv0bsess@Raindropsmedia1 She’s just not nuanced in every hairstyle especially one not a part of her own culture. Have some grace I dnt think she meant any harm. This isn’t like the zendaya loc comment.
@iyannayaya1@RealityTv0bsess@Raindropsmedia1 To them it is cuz they dnt see the style on themselves. We aren’t responsible but then why get upset someone not of the culture might not know the correct term to use?
@4kvip3rzz@RealityTv0bsess@Raindropsmedia1 It wasn’t. You can tell from her tone. She probably wants to learn more about them. Probably the proper name. They aren’t just regular braids thts why they look tht way.
@Jazzybfly2@Raindropsmedia1 That might be why she said almost. U can clearly see the top is fresh like they just got done. She just didn’t know what to call the look.
@RealityTv0bsess@Raindropsmedia1 I know but someone who isn’t well versed in our hair wouldn’t know what to call those pieces that get left out of the braids. Just correct her and if she says it again we know it’s to be smart.
@DayvaughnMonroe@Raindropsmedia1 No it’s not but there are strands tht get left out to complete the look. Maybe she was referring to those when she said that.
@jubilantsleep@Raindropsmedia1 Yes maybe she should’ve said boho. There are styles that are popular with white woman called messy and bed head looks. I feel like as long as her tone wasn’t racist then just educate her on the name and why the braids look “undone”. It’s purposely just like boho look on ww.
@AndieNY70@Raindropsmedia1 She said “almost like”. If corrected I’m sure she would change her wording because it is done. She doesn’t know that’s how it’s supposed to look.
