I like software to be usable, reliable, and performant (in that order). I wake up to nudge the world forward in that direction. Currently working on @AskHerald.
So I suck at them social medias. I wrongly scheduled this tweet 5 days too late. We launched on ProductHunt last Friday. Fortunately, we still had a great launch and finished the day as the #3 app of the day.
If you haven't checkout Herald, please do: https://t.co/7SJsC8rY8y
@netlifystatus Outage? Seeing lots of "11:29:32 AM: info There appears to be trouble with your network connection. Retrying..." in build logs and then timing out after 30m
Pretty awesome how their customers feel so positively about @searchlight_ai. Love the specificity of the question they ask their customers: what they can do to improve by 1 point.
I recently learnt from @kerryxwang and @AnnaXWang what their team at @searchlight_ai does to make a customer say that "Searchlight is a part of [our] company rather than two different companies." Read more about how Searchlight earns customer trust at https://t.co/RjurNot57W
@NetlifySupport@netlifystatus Ok, by some luck, we were able to publish an update to the Chrome webstore already. As in, Google didnt flag our update for a manual review. All good now ;-) But please do not say in bold that that things "will continue to operate" -- encourage us to read the details!
@NetlifySupport@netlifystatus This is Chrome extension limitation. It won't hotload code from a non-whitelisted domains (to get it whitelisted takes a few days).
@NetlifySupport@netlifystatus But your announcement said "Itโs important to note all of your existing sites will continue to operate properly using their current URLs." Even says so here now: https://t.co/pqeAioKh5L. You obviously did not think of all corner cases or allow us to test this before hand!
@netlifystatus Hmmm you can't just fwd *.netlify.com to *.netlify.app. This breaks our Chrome extension that hotloads code from that specific domain. We need to publish a new version to Chrome webstore to unbreak this. The approval takes a few days. Can you not fwd?
Wrote up my thoughts on how a weekly changelog is helping us move fast: https://t.co/gdQtTxhtzS. Does your team use a fixed-interval changelog? Pros? Cons?
@chrismessina@viggy28 Chris - nice collection of commentary on release notes. BTW, I am also ex-Uber though not sure if our paths crossed. Working on @AskHerald now and we're using a changelog-oriented development philosophy. Just wrote about it here: https://t.co/gdQtTxhtzS.
Had the privilege to speak with @brexHQ Head of Customer Experience Lucas Parelius recently. I learnt how a first principles approach helps Brex delight their customers with an A+ experience. Check it out on the Userstand blog: https://t.co/pdYHOQ06LG
@collinmathilde And we love making the Front Plugin - great dev platform. Herald (@AskHerald) is the best tool for teams to collect, tag, share, and analyze user feedback to make data-driven decisions. Reach out if anyone reading would like to get an invite.
Herald co-founders @jayisms and @nilkanth spoke with 50+ companies to figure out how they "make something people want." A summary of learnings from customer-oriented companies like Brex, Notion, Gem, Tandem, and more now at https://t.co/ySG76yEtXc.
