"The Agueroooooo moment used to piss me off. I don't mind watching it now. I watched it last night and I went 'You f*cking cheats!'" ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Do you agree with @markgoldbridge that City's wins are completely hollow now?
@TheClubLiveTw@AdamMcKola This suggestion that a 2-3 year struggle is fair when their success was across a decade and completely changed the legacy and trajectory of other clubs for over a decade is actually hilarious to be honest.
This narrative that the prem will heavily miss Man City is insane to me.
The premier league has had way bigger clubs than city fall off their perch. With bigger followings and bigger fan bases. You are talking about historic clubs like Blackburn or AFC Wimbledon or even Nottingham forest came back to the premier league recently.
The reality is football with move on and it will move on fast. Pep was a great manager & City were a great team but itโs a bit ironic how people are claiming they bring a lot of revenue to the premier league recently but they canโt even align their own books financially.
900M in fraudulent revenue is indefensible, that advantage is so substantial that it doesnโt just make a difference, it actually makes a major difference in their success.
You are also talking about a team that while having these allegations just spent more money on midfielders than any other club in the premier league.
But I am supposed to believe that city overthrowing the big 6 is making the league more competitive. If anything theyโve made the league more one sided than ever before. Youโre talking about a manager finishing in 90+ points 3 times and still struggling to win the premier league.
Is that really more competitive?
@obionepodcast@mikel_john_obi Itโs similar to doping though you can dope and still have to put in work and do some amazing performances but at the end of the day it is still a competitive advantage. I would totally get why players would not want the title but objectively as an outsider it did lead to success.
