@boss__almighty@vono1k@yalldntknome202@Gameis_gameLFG@Hassanwellss it was pretty clear he was on his way out 135. The WBC could have enforced a purse bid which they knew was pointless. They instead allowed Haney to fight for the WBC belt at 140. The WBO didn’t even respond since they wanted Haney vs Teo at 140 but that’s when he “retired”
@boss__almighty@vono1k@yalldntknome202@Gameis_gameLFG@Hassanwellss Shakur denied the first offer for undisputed directly from Haneys team. That’s not negotiating. Then goes straight to the WBC to make himself the mandatory for a one belt fight against an opponent who made it known he was one foot out the division.
@vono1k@yalldntknome202@Gameis_gameLFG@Hassanwellss You forgetting Haney was undisputed. Why would he entertain defending one belt as the undisputed champion in a division he was one foot out of?? Haney made it clear he wanted to defend undisputed in a big fight or move up.
@vono1k@yalldntknome202@Gameis_gameLFG@Hassanwellss Shakur rejected the initial offer of 75/25 for undisputed at 135. Instead requested 50/50 only for the WBC belt as the mandatory. No champ/undisputed champ agrees to that. Turning down an undisputed opportunity then requesting 50/50 as the challenger is crazy work.
@Sam_Vecenie We can’t ignore all the rule changes over the years that directly affect team play style and call it evolution. True evolution would have been keeping the rules affecting team playstyle intact and letting the evolving players revolutionize the game naturally.
@LzTake2@ceo4xx@itsdafanta Hitchins made the original weight and the 10lb IBF rehydration, said he was sick. Davis refused to make weight vs Edwin without a rehydration, way worse. Instead, came in 4.3 over so yeah he’d still compete, that’s a huge advantage. Davis was avoiding what Hitchins did to himself
I've been saying for a couple of seasons now that I truly believe this. That I think he likes being here, wants to be here, and wants to be on the court playing.
It's other things that should be the discussion
Conor Benn-Regis Prograis will be fought at a 150-pound catchweight, sources familiar with the deal told @SInow. Benn making his way back down from 160. Prograis, a former unified 140-pound champion, moves up.
@DBook4Pres@bansky Great stint but that’s just a sample. Cp3 has multiple seasons of raising team’s ceiling/individual production and second all time in assists, longevity allows that. Russ most likely won’t touch that. I gave the facts on defense, that’s your opinion. Lets not talk about turnovers
@DBook4Pres@bansky He played in an era where every team had a good PG. Guarded his position. Tied for most all time def selections (PG). Russ? None. You’re talking like Russ defended other team’s best player primarily. He’s always had a better defensive teammate for that, most teams do.
@Divante983126@kyrinforprez@Beastbr00k0 lol we can keep going. Keon Ellis was just traded but good young defender. Derozan is a proven scorer and can be compared to Gallinari (being generous) Malik Monk proven young player who can score and has solid defense. We know Kings front office is trash you got that.
