Thank you to all the local REALTORS®️ who joined OREA’s RE-CONNECT social with the Brantford Regional Real Estate Association yesterday! A special shoutout to BRREA EO Tess Giroux & President Joshua Wall for co-hosting alongside OREA President Kimberly Fairley and OREA Directors!
CLAR Member and OREA Director, Don McColl, and CLAR CPAO Lisa Comerford were pleased to meet with Bay of Quinte MPP Tyler Allsopp (@tylerallsoppPC) to discuss several important housing issues affecting our communities. Topics included development charges, HST rebates, the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), and concerns around inconsistent Building Code interpretation across municipalities.
Thank you, MPP Allsopp, for taking the time to meet with us and for always being so engaged and supportive of new ideas to help address Ontario’s housing crisis.
1. Promise to release autopsy
2. Put incompetent friend in charge
3. Incompetent friend produces incoherent product
4. Announce you're not releasing the autopsy
5. Lie about why
6. Gaslight people who ask, saying they're the problem
7. Face internal revolt
8. Release autopsy
1. It's hard to imagine anyone handling anything worse than Ken Martin handled the DNC autopsy. It was a disaster of his own making, and it's sufficient evidence that he is not the right person to lead the DNC at this time.

Insightful conversation with MPP @MikeSchreiner regarding our recent policy report, A Pathway to Development Charge Reform, that offers key recommendations to lower development charges and reduce barriers to homeownership. Thank you for making the time to meet with OREA leaders!
