@surreycricket What a brain dead selection! Unless Sam is bowling it looks very light with Clark and Abbott struggling. Thomas batting at 8 looks all kinds of wrong

@surreycricket We definitely need a shake up at the top and some new ideas, we’ve been going backwards for too long now, players declining, same old tactics rolled out time and again. Fresh ideas needed and that has to come from the coaching team

@surreycricket That was incredibly hard to watch and not for the first time this season. No energy, lack of ideas, lack of intent, poor execution. This is a talented team but it looks stale. Feels like a change in coaching staff is needed, I’m not convinced Batty can take this team any further

@st3v381 @surreycricket Pope clearly has a problem. I imagine they are giving him as much time as possible to recover. Josh Blake is now at the ground so may come in as a sub. Only thought about Atkinson was he came in to throw bat at ball for a few overs but that hasn’t happened so not sure

@jimbobgooner @surreycricket It’s the same with the T20, never changes, never adapts, stick to the plan lads even when it’s not working. The team needs to change and adapt, I don’t just mean new players but new ideas and tactics. Batty will never change so has to go

@jimbobgooner @surreycricket For me Batty goes. I appreciate what he’s done to win 3 championships in a row, an amazing achievement which should not be diminished but he’s way too stubborn to change. We have 1 plan which hasn’t worked for over a season now and we’re still banging away at it

@SASEnterprise5 @surreycricket Nope! As much as I love Abbott and appreciate what he’s done in the past I think his recruitment was a mistake (too similar to what we’ve got). I think we should have brought in a spinner for the first half of the season

@surreycricket I really feel like we need a point of difference bowler (not Topley!). The battery of right arm seam bowlers just isn’t working. A front line spinner and a left arm seamer would give options
