Nobody would hire a person with some of those disabilities as an air traffic controller. DEI policies cannot go outside law.
@rcam_tv@libsoftiktok True. But to cherry pick and highlight things like brain damage and seizures is misleading because that is not how DEI works. Any applicant and employee must still be capable to do the job. So with this in place, now a veteran with a missing arm can apply.
@libsoftiktok That's not how that works. They still must be able to perform the job, even when an employer is trying to be inclusive. That means that individuals with the characteristics you highlighted would not be eligible. However, those with a disability (e.g. veterans missing an arm) are.
