Never pass up a good step & repeat! Happy to be back in GA for the #GEAC conference. Pls look me up if your here at Lanier Islands and catch my sessions on #alumnimetrics and #alumniidentity.
Please join me in North Georgia next week at GEAC for two sessions: (1) Engagement Measures in the Digital Age and (2) Alumni Engagement - What to Start, Stop, and Continue. If you are attending Nov. 13 or 14, send me a DM so we can be sure to meet up. #alumni#advancement
#Alumni are people, TOO. What if we appealed to who they are today instead of who they were in school? @advserv podcast host Jay Ballinger and I agree, disagree, and argue new approaches to alumni and donor #engagement in 🎙 https://t.co/yQuGWPmlSZ #highered#advancement
What makes an Anti-Guru? Admitting when your advice has been utter nonsense! Join me January 11 for reflections on what we got right (& wrong) with #alumnirelations in 2021 and predictions (& resolutions) for 2022. RSVP: https://t.co/r0OltH48nR
Please ignore the Conan-esque hair.
Why do some community members give & others don't?
Join @jayldillon on November 22 to learn how you can engage your alumni & constituents.

We've been talking about questions & myths at #CASEAllDistricts, how about diving into *Data, Diversity, and Alumni Identities* with me? Find this session TODAY, Feb. 18 at 11:15 a.m. PT. Through data we'll explore a tough question: Are donor demographics the enemy of equity? 🤔
@DocMastracchio@SMDuke There are many approaches. The one I advocate is looking to alumni identities to gauge engagement and predict future philanthropy. You can test your own alumni identity at https://t.co/IgJ7auTlzb. It takes about 2 mins. Let me know what you think!
What’s the biggest MYTH in #highered#fundraising today? There’s a lot of myth-busting going on at #CASEAllDistricts. What’s your fav to debunk? Mine: “Alumni who were engaged as students are most likely to give.” Where did this come from? Show me the data, not the anecdotes. 👀
@SMDuke Indeed! Engagement depends on what’s important to the alum and not the structures of the institution. When I’ve done Alumni Identity studies at schools with BA completion programs, those graduates report slightly higher feelings of connection as compared to traditional students.
