Convocation votes for a mandatory minimum wage. 25 in favour of the mandatory minimum. 24 against. The STOPSOP slate was united against having a mandatory minimum. I am relieved. But it shouldn’t have been this close.

Ontario stepping up police enforcement powers is exactly the policing of the pandemic that we have warned against.

Police being given overbroad powers to stop people outside is a recipe for targeting Black, Indigenous, racialized, migrant, low-income communities.
