The past four years have all led up to this moment: I’m officially a Posse scholar for Pomona College! I truly want to thank those that have believed in me and supported me. I can’t wait to see what these next four years will bring with @hudson_khimmoy by my side.
Angela Davis continues a series of discussions this week for 5C students. She is the history department's 2021 Ena H. Thompson Distinguished Lecturer. Endowed in 1980, these annual lectures encourage a broader understanding and appreciation of history.
Guess who got front-page for his first story this semester?! After a year and a half of being in the virtual newsroom, it’s nice to see the news (my story) in print 🗞
Congratulations to Khimmoy on his first front page story at Pomona College’s student newspaper, The Student Life.

The Dream Team strikes again — and this time we’ve tackled the Posse first round interview. Congrats to Ajmaanie, Angely, and myself for making the Posse semi-finals and progressing to the next round.
If I do say so myself, this was a pretty good way to end the summer.
Almost Everything I Know, I’ve learned in a Classroom – My Own.
That is, of course, the great irony. I wanted to change the world. I never anticipated how much my students would change me. https://t.co/GmX2p6j3fO

“Be like a Lotus: trust in light, grow through the dirt, believe in new beginnings.”- Today as final goodbyes were said there was mention of the Lotus flower. Seniors be like a Lotus and continue to grow and prosper. We wish you all luck on your journey.
“Texas is also considering a bill that would make it a felony for parents or doctors to provide transition care for trans youth,” said NBC News in April. That sentence in itself breaks my heart for those who are a part of the trans community. WE need to do better. #TransYouth
@angelypena06 After all of the social disruption caused in 2020, I think we all could’ve hoped that 2021 would’ve been different, maybe even better. It’s shocking that we’re still fighting for basic human rights within different communities. #TransYouth
I don’t think that many people understand the severity of these bills. If enacted, it would mean that these states will have enacted more anti-LGBTQ bills this year alone than in the last three combined. #TransYouth
@KaylaCheung3 I completely agree. It’s saddening that we still have to fight for basic human rights for a community that deserves to be treated like one. #TransYouth
More than 55 major U.S. corporations have been opposed to anti-transgender legislation proposals in several states. They’re companies like Facebook, Pfizer, Amazon, American Airlines, Apple, AT&T, AirBnB, Google, Hilton, IBM, IKEA, Microsoft, and more. #TransYouth
