Introducing https://t.co/5cOdEmnpfN: a platform for startups raising capital.
How it works:
- Startups [claim a spot / post their pitch] for [$X/month]
- Investors browse [startups actively raising / the top pitches] in one place
- Revenue from startups goes straight back into reaching more investors (via X Ads / cold email)
I struggled with fundraising on my first startup years ago. Getting in front of the right investors shouldn't be hard.
Once there's meaningful traction, startups would get immediate exposure to a network of investors. Additionally, investors looking to deploy capital would get access to constant deal flow.
Built over a weekend. No idea if this is valuable yet, but the only way to find out is to ship it.
If you're raising, or you're an investor who wants to see what's out there, link is in the first reply.
The idea: a platform for founders to pitch their startup and raising capital from investors.
I struggled with fundraising on my first startup years ago. The audience is very clear, and revenue from startups goes straight back into reaching investors.
This will be my first weekend project that I'm launching so I'm excited to see how things go!
https://t.co/TfMA7bQh3X blew up for one big reason: shock factor.
Businesses paying that much to constantly fight for the top spot is wild, and people couldn't look away. (Congrats to @jonathan_wilke on the huge success!)
Now the copycats are rolling in, and I don't think most of them stand a chance. Here's why:
So this weekend I'm taking inspiration from the original Outbid concept and building something that (I believe) is sustainable and keeps providing value long-term.
Three areas I'm focused on:
1. A recurring pricing model that funds ongoing brand awareness (i.e. makes paid ads sustainable)
2. A well defined audience, so ad spend is actually targeted
3. A clear value-add for visitors which makes people keep coming back after the Outbid hype starts to die down
