With the Lindsay Clancy case has come the revival of “women will stay at home all day with their kid(s) and act like it’s hard while their husband goes and works 10 hour days” and it’s like yes, the predictable schedule of one’s career that comes with a paycheck and a clock in and out time is vastly different than the stress of a whole human life depending on you for their every whim 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Two jobs can be difficult and stressful in vastly different ways. Namely because one of them is nonstop nurturing an entire other human being.
Most of you do not have jobs where someone’s life *quite literally* depends on you. Esp if you work corporate America, 95% of your daily problems are manufactured by shareholders and made up of imaginary deadlines. Corporate America is not real.
Teaching another human being how to exist, feeding them with your own body, and their entire existence down to life/death depending on you is stressful… yes.

The lot of you refuse to acknowledge that mothers make the world go round and are the reason we even have a population, shit on moms at every turn, and then simultaneously discuss how abysmal the birth rates are. Are you dense?

Motherhood is a mostly thankless job, can (and often does) destroy women’s bodies and mental health, and the world then tells them they’re overdramatic inconveniences for doing one of the only jobs on earth that *actually* matters.

Weeks of trial and here’s what the prosecutors have told us about Lindsay Clancy:

LC was a drug seeker but also didn’t take her meds.

She didn’t ask for help but she asked for help and had perfect care.

Her suicide attempt wasn’t real or maybe it was but she sucks at suicide.

She was a controlling mom who had to do everything but also so mad that a nanny wouldn’t do the work for her that she killed her kids.

You can only have a Mental Health disease if you see unicorns in the corner for a long period of time. Being able to drive to the doctor or do a Google search is solid evidence of strong mental health.

This is a modern day witch trial!
