A record-breaking heat dome sent nearly 12,000 emergency calls into B.C.’s ambulance system in a single day, in 2021. Five years later, are we any more prepared? https://t.co/ifD36lh6wM
Ordered from @UberEats tonight and ended up fearing for my safety. The driver knocked multiple times when I had drop off selected so I answered anyway (first mistake). He then made me take someone else’s order plus my own. I went to go eat and he came back and demanded a cash tip
@UberEats@Uber_Support@Uber You just replied with a bot and closed the conversation 😂 @Uber thinks this is good customer service. It seems this company values its predatory drivers more than its customers..
@Uber_Support This is not good enough. This is hours later. Please provide confirmation of this driver’s termination or at minimum, confirmation that he will not be permitted to deliver to me again. @UberEats this is unacceptable.
@Uber_Support Why do I have to provide this information a second time on Twitter/X? I’ve already reported through the app. Do you think this is good customer service?
@Uber_Support@ubereats You’ve also shut down my ability to reply to your customer service bot, seems like you’re not interested in discussing your predatory drivers and the safety risk they pose to your customers? @GlobalBC@VancouverPD
@Uber_Support I’ve already escalated this through your customer support and have not received any appropriate resolve other than a response 2 hours later stating you’re “taking this seriously” and are “escalating it”. @UberEats you are not taking customer safety seriously.
(1/x) Intubating critically ill patients in the ICU has some important differences to the ED or OR.
It also carries with it a 3% chance of cardiac arrest. Yes, THREE percent (PMID: 33755076)
This may be the highest risk procedure we perform in the ICU. Here is how you can make intubation in the ICU as safe as possible.

Congratulations to Melissa O'Connell, recipient of a BCEHS Vital Link award! When Melissa's coworker Vik collapsed at a #Vancouver restaurant, Melissa helped save his life by performing rescue breaths while another bystander did chest compressions.
@smithECGBlog Accelerated junctional or sinoventricular rhythm. Wide QRS with RBBB and peaked T waves suggest the later due to to P wave flattening secondary to hyperkalemia.
Fully agree. A huge number of women of childbearing age suffer from unrecognised #iron deficiency without anemia (IDWA). It is time to change the dogma of different “normal” Hb levels in females vs males.
