@PaulEmbery @cthulhupotamus The ‘stirring up tensions’ line is interesting - theres some intra-ethnic stuff and quite a lot of white identity stuff, but primary ‘tension’ is with the police and the establishment, a bit of sleight of hand to imply it’s between the population rather than anti-establishment.

@post_liberal This just approaches the ‘politicisation of the police’ argument from another direction. Why is there so much churn, why are there no experienced police officers available? Part of the answer is the lack of support from seniors to front line police, training emphasis, etc.

@Danjsalt Nelson is really wedded to his viewpoint. This is a huge issue about policing in Britain today and he’s determined to make it about Sikhs, whether the knife used was a ‘kirpan’ or not and historical contributions in times of war, all distractions from the core issue.
