Thank you @JeremyDBoreing for speaking the truth about what so many GWOT veterans have been struggling to put into words. Not all of us feel the same way these influencer vets do.
Memorial Day belongs to the fallen. The men and women who didn’t come home, and the ones we asked to do impossible things in our name.
But we are failing them.
A majority of the veterans who fought in the War on Terror now describe that war as a mistake. Because for fifteen years they’ve been told from every direction that the war itself was fake.
When podcasters, politicians, and influencers call American wars “fake” or “foolish” or even “evil” to score cheap political points, they are telling our veterans this:
If the war you fought in was foolish, you were a fool to volunteer. If the war you fought in was wrong, you were wrong to fight. If the war you fought in was evil, then the things you did in it were evil.
It tears down not only the soldier, but the very idea that America is good and worth fighting for.
The West is in trouble —and not because of the War on Terror. The West is in trouble because we have forgotten why we fought it:

The text of the post doesn’t match the image. Zero ADMITTED is probably accurate. Those who were stopped at border crossing points were turned away.
The image says zero crossings. There’s no way that’s 100% accurate.
Why do they always shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to messaging? The point that the border has been closed is a huge win already. There’s no need to exaggerate or misrepresent the truth.
@BradyShearer Thanks for sharing. I relate to this as well. I feel that my talents are best utilized in the creative space or “behind the scenes” of the ministry at our church. Not everyone is called to be a pastor, teacher, Bible study group leader, etc.
@SoandSoBTW @rawsalerts Watch it again. It’s not the agent at her door or approaching from the side. There’s a third agent in front of her car, initially out of sight of the camera, when she accelerated away.
