well this map is turning into a tricky UI problem for me, definitely at the point where I need to just ship it and see where people get stuck. Also if you are headed to Paris and a coffee snob @jayonaboat has you covered
Rather than use my Samsung account I was able to back out all the way and sign in with Google - another option I'd rather not take - and the verification code went to my tablet which thankfully was at hand.
I feel like we've lost any semblance of control over our own devices
.@SamsungMobile's new UI update 6.1 forces you to log into your Samsung account to access your phone, which I've never had to do before. And now I can't get past it because they're sending a 'verification pin' to my email that never arrives. So I'm blocked out of my phone.
Got some hacking time tonight, and I'm pretty happy with how this new feature is turning out. In the home stretch now, just need @jayonaboat's help finalizing copy/artwork and we can get this baby out the door.
In the latest of our Meet the Low Season Travellers series, @jayonaboat, the creator behind Paris in my Pocket, talks us through his early fascination with the French capital. @SmartieAnt provides this edition's featured photograph, with a January shot of San Diego's Balboa Park.
The original guide was a PDF, so when I teamed up with @jayonaboat, job #1 was to duplicate that. Now that we have feature parity with the PDF, it's time to start having fun with the new medium. Here is tonights effort to find a location based on its tag (032)
If nothing else, I'm going to learn and grow a lot through this season of production. You can see the full length version here:
