Somewhere in the western part of Africa, your wife is working on herself.

Not because life has been easy. Not because everything is figured out. But because I already know you deserve a lady that chose to become one before you even arrived.

And something tells me you are doing the same thing where you are. Building. Praying. Growing. Becoming the man that will walk into my life and make everything make sense.

I think about you more than you know.

I don't know your name yet. I don't know if you are tall or short, loud or quiet, the type that laughs with her whole body or the type that smiles slow and makes a man feel chosen. But I know I already love the idea of you. And I know I want to spend my life making sure you never regret choosing me.

Now let me be honest with you about a few things before you arrive.

I want to serve God with you. Not just Sunday service and matching outfits for Christmas. I mean actually serving Him. Together. As partners. As a team that prays before they plan and trusts God even when the plan falls apart. I want us at Godly concerts, your hand in mine, worshipping like nothing else exists in that moment. I want to pray with you in the morning before the day scatters us. I want God to be the foundation of what we are building—not the decoration we bring out on special occasions.

I want to travel with you. Not just big international trips — though we will do those too by God's grace. I mean random Saturdays where we just get in the car and drive with no destination. Windows down. Your playlist is on. You're singing off-key and not caring because you are comfortable with me. I want that.

I want to sit with you at events and feel that quiet pride that comes from knowing that you are my person. That is the one I chose and the one who chose me back.

I want to hold your hand in public and hold your heart in private.
I want to watch you sleep and think to myself that God was specifically showing off the day He made you.

I want to be interested in everything you do. Your work, your dreams, the small ideas you are scared to say out loud because you don't know if they are big enough yet. Tell me. I will research it with you, pray over it with you, and show up for it even when I don't fully understand it. Your growth is not separate from mine. We are going up together.

I want us to laugh. A lot. Inside jokes that nobody else understands. Nonsense conversations at midnight. Laughing at nothing because we are just happy and life inside our home is light.

I can be quiet and taciturn outside, but inside with you, I want to be the loudest 😂😂

I know there are days we will have serious quarrels and issues, but I want those days resolved with a plate of suya and chilled Hollandia yogurt where we talk things out and resolve it.

Now. Very important announcement.

I want to grow old with you. Grey hair. Slow walks. Old couple energy where we still hold hands and people look at us and feel something. I want to still be choosing you when we are old and the world has moved on a hundred times. I want to stay.

Until we meet to part no more.

I don't know when you will see this. Maybe today. Maybe years from now when you are scrolling and something stops you. But I want you to know that your wife is on her way. She is praying. She is building. She is becoming.

And she cannot wait to find you. 🤍
