Sources: The University of Florida is set to make a major structural move, finalizing a deal with Eagles executive and former Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell as its GM of football operations.
Caldwell helped build Jacksonville’s 2017 AFC Championship roster and has spent the past five seasons shaping Philadelphia’s Super Bowl teams. A significant addition to Florida’s program. The program believes Caldwell’s understanding of cap management and new-aged scouting will translate well to the new college landscape.
Caldwell currently works with Eagles GM Howie Roseman, a Gator alum. Caldwell could be introduced in his new role as early as tomorrow with newly hired coach Jon Sumrall.
