I am truly god’s strongest soldier because my algorithm is simply a triangle of the three most taxing and brain-numbing mass psychosis environments: national political discourse, the Taylor Swift wedding, and video game debates
I find it strange people are calling this a genre shift when I feel like this is like totally in line with her sound, if a bit more gritty (compliment)
It’s a double album baby! You guessed it right. Day and Night arrives September 18th and I couldn’t be more proud. We kick things off this Friday w our first single On Wires. https://t.co/VNC5tO6zhB
JLG winning by a massive landslide margin in ward 8 basically destroys the entire argument that @mattyglesias and all the abundochud pundits were making that her base is all just woke white people while McDuffie will win the black vote. They were so completely wrong
Not to wade back into Swiftie discourse waters but...
Why tf is Taylor now using her platform to uplift bland male songwriters over the current landscape of female songwriters? Positioning the next gen of songwriting as being lead by Sombr is harrowing, bleak, and out of touch.
Taylor Swift says Sombr's writing "is so exceptional that it makes me actually envious, and I love that feeling — he’s gonna be the top of my Spotify Wrapped this year guaranteed, it’s locked, it’s in the bag."
"A lot of my late night debates with my friends about the state of the music industry involve me saying very loudly, ‘Sombr is the future and he does it all on his own and he doesn’t need AI. The kids are fine.’ And so obviously, Shane is a very well-adjusted person and artist, and doesn’t need any of my advice at all."

I clearly just can't engage with her persona or brand anymore—but it continues to be extremely disappointing to see how far she has turned in such a different direction compared to literally anything that made her previously inspiring or credible.
Every time a state proposes a tax on the rich, someone predicts an exodus — like WaPo is doing now.
But it never happens.
The rich are deeply embedded in their communities and typically choose where to live based on many factors other than taxes. https://t.co/d6Fooz9Z75
