@shashiwhocodes@codeFreedomRitr @genericmikechen I have some time Monday morning PST if a practice Frontend coding interview would be useful. Feel free to DM me!
@allysedotdev@livelaughcode @genericmikechen @shashiwhocodes@DThompsonDev Key question for me is: what stage are you getting rejected at?
Getting hired is a sales funnel (and a numbers game!). You need to identify where the biggest leaks are focus on those. Eg are you getting to/past recruiter/HM screening calls? Are you making it to onsites?
@saraliDev@shashiwhocodes@NoWhiteboardOrg @genericmikechen Hi Sara! ๐
Somewhat similar story to @NoWhiteboardOrg. Work and life got hectic, and I had to cut some time sinks for my mental health.
Might start posting again one day! In the meantime, my DMs are always open if anyone wants SWE career/interview advice, or just to say hi!

It's no wonder why people struggle with learning.
It's simple: The system works AGAINST you.
You need to fight.
I'm learning how to code: it's painful, but it's easy if you plan ahead.
Here are 9 secrets on how to learn anything๐
Every time my learning starts to plateau or I'm not sure where to go next, I take the same strategy: learn something deeply, or learn something different.
@axlhmo I should have said console.log doesn't *explicitly* return anything.
Like any function in JS that doesn't return anything, it implicitly returns undefined.
What many sw engineers don't realize:
The majority of jobs do not hire you to write the highest quality code or produce the cleanest architecture.
They hire you to solve their business problems very efficiently. Sometimes this means high-quality code. Sometimes not at all.
