@MorlockP Silly, but it reminds me of old box art for Atari games. Lavish and hugely aspirational art for the simplest graphics, but I'm certain I pulled my first SF novel off my grandfather's shelf because the pulp art on the cover reminded me of Missile Command or Defender or something.
@Mrgunsngear Happened next to me a couple of years ago. I was packing up to leave the public firing line to head into a class, and when I turned around to sweep my brass, guy to my right shot himself with a rental gun. Fell right at my feet. Glad he didn't feel like taking me with him.
Some people are over-eager to die for what they believe in.
Unfortunately, what Mr. Fairfax appeared to believe in, is that firearms are dangerous in civilian hands.
One of the tough things about being on twitter is being constantly exposed to every injustice on a constant basis. Every cruelty is shoved in your face, every ugliness is top of mind.
It's sad. I want it to get better and maybe it is but it's hard to tell from my perspective
@burner671134391 A jacket potato is a loaded potato that sucks, that's the difference. Baked beans instead of chili, tuna salad instead of bacon. The wrong choice at every step.
Maggie Kang (director of KPop: Demon Hunters): "I'm sorry it took so long to see us in a movie like this, but it's here."
The "us" is ambiguous. It may refer to Koreans, cosplayers, horny teenage girls, or demons. It's hard to tell from the context.
@Osinttechnical We should never put ourselves in the position of smoking our own hardware in hostilities against foreigners. No Hercules or Tomcat or Viper should be sold into servitude of a shitass third party.
@St_Rev Now here we see a rare display of wild RevBrand commentary and its characteristic asymmetry; current events are only worthy of notice when the noticing is funny uwu
My anthro professor in college was so deeply into hobby knapping that he spent two classroom sessions on it one quarter, including a live demonstration. He spent the last part of class using his new knife to hack off one leg of the room's wooden lectern to proof it. I haven't thought of that in 20 years.
@BlackRoseWolf2@WeaponOutfitter I've also got a 3x along with the 1x and just haven't ever found a good host or use case for it. I like it, don't love it, but can't bring myself to get rid of it.
