In 2009 I decided that suicide was my only escape from the abuse I was suffering from. (story for another day when I am ready) I was going to go home that night and remove myself from the world because I saw no other escape. Then something interesting happened I received a text from my best friend who would later become my wife... and suddenly I had the courage to live another day. The courage to break up with my abusive girlfriend. The courage to keep moving forward to the future that God had planned for me. That moment, that text message saved my life. I know that God had Kitty text me in that moment because He wasn't done with me and He loved me enough to save me in that moment. I have a tattoo on my left shoulder of the crest of courage (which is also on my model) as a reminder to be courageous not just in the face of normal fears but also in the face of those invisible battles that only we see. To be courageous enough to face one more day. God wasn't done with me, He isn't done with you. Thank you Kaori for being courageous and continuing to fight those demons in your head. You are stronger than you know, and you aren't alone on this battle field. The goal of the enemy is to make you feel isolated but nothing could be further from the truth. Continue to be courageous, continue to stand, continue to move forward. This fight isn't over and you aren't beaten yet.
