Tips for success in #academia:
* Don't aim for perfect. Or good. Or accurate. Just publish
* Don't do what you think matters, do what gets funded
* Don't be interdisciplinary
* Don't criticise anyone's work, even if it's baaad
* Don't be a woman, or black, or (worst of all) both

We're disappointed by the #SCOTUS decision to end affirmative action in higher ed. It fails to consider the role diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity play in achieving healthy communities + creating health care workforces for our diverse communities. https://t.co/PzpnkIRH56
Affirmative action was never a complete answer in the drive towards a more just society. But for generations of students who had been systematically excluded from most of America’s key institutions—it gave us the chance to show we more than deserved a seat at the table.
In the wake of the Supreme Court’s recent decision, it’s time to redouble our efforts.
