@dieworkwear I worked for a logistics company. My boss went on a site visit to a shoe factory. One of the lines made white sneakers. At the end, the shoes were directed to one of two stations. One labeled the shoes for Stride Rite. The other labeled them for Tommy Hilfiger. Same shoe.
@Anthony31031912@On3@PeteNakos@Hayesfawcett3 You do remember he’s from Atlanta, right? Great opportunity to play in front of family and friends in his last year. Key has done that really well so far - bringing Atlanta natives back home.
@iStayWinning711@JaredHalusGT If signing one good TE makes Harpring scared of competition, do we want him anyway? Not convinced that's the reason for the change.
@TopTierGT Out of left field but would fit a pattern: Nathan Burton. Tech grad, co-DC at Troy (who had a pretty good defense this year). Coached at Tech until Goof fired him, which I almost think of as a badge of honor.
Don’t mind the Godsey hire at all. Hiring Tech men does make it more likely they stick around. On that note, and with the story that Gideon is leaving, I’ll start the rumor for a name for DC: Nathan Burton.
@TomOwens67@tbtb062@RossDellenger Not quite accurate. "Work out a contract" = time limit, then you're right. "Work out a contract" = until contractually agreed upon buyout amount is paid happens all the time. Both are perfectly legitimate contractual terms. Key and GT did a mutually beneficial renegotiation.
@BattleCattleFan@MHver3 Re: Miami - Well, yes, because Virginia would have moved up with a win and bumped Miami out *by the rankings*. As for ND, the committee is horrible, but don't complain about getting beat out by Miami . Direct your disgust at Alabama. Seriously, losing to FSU?! -3 yards rushing?!
@ksugiuraajc “Logistical issues.” If only the Army or Navy had experience with transporting large numbers of soldiers and sailors. However could they figure it out? And there is tons of Army presence in Georgia (Benning, Gordon, Stewart, RIP McPherson) and a major Navy facility (Kings Bay).
@ChrisVannini Out of curiosity: why is ND surprised the ACC touted Miami? If Miami makes the playoffs, the entire conference benefits monetarily. If ND goes instead, the conference gets nothing. Seems like the ACC had a fiduciary responsibility if you ask me.
