@Klaskarides #edu6333 Hi Kassandra, I also really found gamification fun and useful, especially in education. Thanks for the high engagement and great posts you always had weekly. Wish you best luck for the future!
@jaredcash2018#edu6333@jaredcash2018 Hi Jared, thanks for always posting such detailed and higher knowledge in our weekly materials. It seems like your passion is very high in education, as I can also see how deeply educated you are in related materials from the course. Keep it up! #dreamers
@marymargaret225 Hi Mary, wonderful course I had with you, thanks for the many thoughtful comments you left on my posts. I also took away on the same idea as you, I hope we as learners, and educators will focus more on the improvements and working to fix certain issues we must!
importance of using social media safely, in ways students, educators, or anyone is not negatively affected by it. In order to do so, guidelines, policies, such courses and materials from the courses must continue and be supported. Great course materials and class.
#edu6333 From this course, I learned that technology has, is, and will change our education, in much positive ways. My big take away from this course is that although there are great advantages and benefits from technology, especially in social media, is the learning of the
@BelindaMusoni#edu6333@BelindaMusoni I agree. As I shared as well, sexual harassments among students and educators is a major problem to be taken action for. https://t.co/o04JEGyoMn In this article, there are deeper insights and examples of sexual harassments in today's society.
@HFralinger9#edu6333@HFralinger9 Yes. Often, students cyber bully others, for no reason. I think it is necessary to teach students and create more and be engaged more in campaign and such practices to prevent and reduce ethical issues like this.
@marymargaret225#edu6333@marymargaret225 I agree. Espeically in my own experience, in my home country, South Korea, cyber bullying is a huge concern, not only in education but also in daily lives. There needs to be guideline/policies, thanks for the link above. Best to share to prevent!
#edu6333 I am actually building a final research presentation for my other course currently on safety issues in social media platforms for students. There have been many harassment and ethics related problems from professors to students, especially for my topic, focusing on sexua
harassments. There have been many cases of this that I am worried about. Although there have been many policies and guidelines made on these, here is an example of how students are still experiencing such hardships from sns environment from my previous university!
@madrock25#edu6333@madrock25 I am glad to know that gamification is being embraced more and more. Lots of benefits and enjoyable learning through gamification. I just checked out the website, and there are tons! Nice.
@madrock25#edu6333@madrock25 I agree that failing is a part of the scientific method as well, nice thought. I applied failing in life in general more, and to focus on education as well, it is simply part of the learning and development process.
@hingdpotter #edu6333 @hingdpotter Do you agree that education needs to be more compelling? I do not agree with that, as seen in different country's compelling types of education, there are much pressure and stress for students. However, education itself always thrives for better.
@hingdpotter #edu6333 @hingdpotter great question. Rather than assessments, as seen in Playful Learning, reviews would evaluate games and learning at the same time. However, I agree that assessments would take it another level on what students learning and to improve games.
@marymargaret225#edu6333@marymargaret225 Which game did you play? I played Quandry and I also enjoyed doing experimentations bases on different situations. Fun and learned new things like critical skills and decision making!
