@adamcarolla and as you guessed you cant hit much with one on full auto. Its typically only used for suppression fire, to force an enemy to keep their head down so an opposing side can move to a different area. If you actually want to hit something you'd typically shoot semi.

@adamcarolla machine guns are lawful for citizens to own in most states. They have been regulated since '34 and in all those years only one legally owned one was used for murder, by an undercover officer. Legal possession requires quite a bit of paperwork, but isnt too hard.
