@JohnKingCNN@InsidePolitics Rudy at 1/6 committee will end like Jack Nicholson in "A Few Good Men. Proudly proclaiming everything he did then surprised by his immediate arrest.
@cnnbrk@JohnKingCNN
Getting attention? Perhaps. I think actions like this Congressman is the new version of don't ask for permission, ask for forgiveness.
@AnaCabrera I have said many times to friends, & you should know. You are the best anchor on CNN. there is no doubt you are informed on every topic/subject you cover and always ask the best questions. Others may get the soundbites, but you get the details. Keep up the good work.
@chrislhayes Texas just made it legal for anybody to sue somebody for constitutionally protected behavior (as abortion was determined to be in Roe) Is this the real slippery slope? What state is going to make it legal for people to sue witnesses for invoking the 5th? And next the 1st or 2nd?
@thelauracoates WOW Did I just hear the defense try to say that the use of force(murder) of one individual to prevent the POSSIBLE use of force(murder) of others is a consideration when deciding if force is needed? Ignoring the fact that ceasing to use force would calm the crowd.
@brianstelter Story idea. While channel surfing I noticed that footage of spring breakers defying curfew on Fox are primarily black while CNN and MSNBC shows a more diverse crowd. Fox talking heads even spent time dismissing claims of police racial bias. Claims I only saw on Fox.
@kasie I'm up #waytooearly because I fell asleep on the couch watching @BWilliams last night. I missed my nightly bladder emptying. Then, in the dark, I stubbed my toe returning to shut the TV off. I fell/sat on my favorite chair just in time to hear you ask, "why are you awake?"
@gtconway3d Perhaps they know that and by refusing to attend they have the best of both worlds. Trump convicted and then likely not allowed to run again and talking points to safe face with his base they will want on their side...?
@gtconway3d Will "Trump made me do it" defense work for the upcoming trials? These people believed Trump's lies and thought they were doing a patriotic thing. Answering their presidents call to action. Would such a defense by "Protesters" later hurt Trump in charges he may face?
@ChrisCuomo Will "Trump made me do it" defense work for the upcoming trials for Jan 6th crimes? These people believed Trump's lies and thought they were doing the patriotic thing based on Trump's false election victory being stolen lie. Answering their presidents call to action.
@Acosta theory... The 25th Amendment has been invoked, particularly considering that Pence activated the National Guard even though the Vice President does not have the authority to activate the National Guard. This may mean that Trump's Presidential powers have been revoked.
@BWilliams theory... The 25th Amendment has been invoked, particularly considering that Pence activated the National Guard even though the Vice President does not have the authority to activate the National Guard. This may mean that Trump's Presidential powers have been revoked.
@AnaCabrera I am confused. @CNNPolitics is reporting only 50 million votes cast and we know some of them are in person early votes. The math is off someplace...
